This is the 3rd cookie press I have owned, and it is by far the best! First of all, it is so nice that it comes with a plastic storage box and decorating accessories. Second, this cookie press actually works, unlike the others I have tried. It is easy to use, and the cookies press out nicely every time. It is unfortunate that some who left negative reviews did not appear to know how this product works. There is no problem with it staying together if you line it up and turn completely so that the tabs go into the grooves of the ends of the press. It turns quite a ways once locked in, so I can't imagine how it could come off during use. Also, the plastic sleeve does remove from the stainless sleeve, making it very easy to clean. How unfortunate that one reviewer threw theirs away not knowing this.

The plastic tube inside the stainless tube IS INDEED REMOVABLE making its cleaning easy. I would highly recommend this product. I made spritz cookies for the first time using this press that I just bought and it worked like a charm. I would definitely recommend it. Not bad for a beginner! Just bought this, and had to add a quick review. I haven't used it yet, but after trying a different brand, I knew what I wanted in a cookie press. The handle is much more comfortable, and does not appear that it will bruise my hand from use. There is also a plastic sleeve inside the stainless steel sleeve, which is removable! I figured I would check that out right away, as if it didn't, I would definitely look to return this! You just remove the top and bottom by twisting them and then pulling them off, which was not difficult for me, although you have to be sure not to be holding onto one end while trying to put the other end on...oops :), and the insert can be slid out the top, which should make it very easy to clean, and the plastic insert will make it easier to push the dough through. The discs are metal, which is good, as they won't bend and pop out the end (I hope). There are some really cute designs, which will be fun to use as we have a grandson that will enjoy them - the dinosaur, which I believe looks like a camel, a bat, a pumpkin, a snowman, a butterfly, and a number of other designs. It also comes with an accordian style icing applicator, with 2 different tips (I wish there were more, but will see if I can find others that might work with it. And, lastly, it comes in a nice case for storage, which I appreciate. I am looking forward to using this, and will update afterward with my opinion on the ease of use and cleanup.
