Over the holidays, I gave the press quite a workout and it worked like a champ. I followed the tip sheet which was helpful. There are plenty of cookie shapes, but I would liked to have had a few more traditional shapes.

I had a metal cookie press from my mother years ago, after baking butter spritz's every year the it finally broke two years ago. I have purchased several to replace it but no luck as the presses couldnt work the dough through the shaft.This cookie press met all my requirements. It went throught the dough like it was all butter. It made the job much easier as these are my families favorite cookie for the holidays.

I made the mistake of purchasing a cheap plastic press and had nothing but heartache. This Christmas, I decided at the last minute to try again and I'm so glad I chose this press (Thanks Amazon Prime!). My daughter and I had great fun and it was so very easy. We used the recipes from the enclosed booklet and they worked like a charm! (They even included one to make my favorite crispy Cheese Straws.) With its ease of use we were able to make oodles of luscious butter cookies, bringing back long ago childhood memories of helping my mother using her 1960's era Mirro press - minus the wrist pain of twisting that thing! My mouth is watering for these yummy butter spritzes; I think we have to go make a quick batch right now!!
