This cookie press is the worst one I have ever used. I bought one and started to use it and with no warning it just stoped working when I had half of the cookie dough left. I returned it to the store for another one and when I brought that one home it did not work at all. I had to throw out the rest of my cookie dough. I decided to take it back and get my money back. I would not recommend this product ot anyone!!...
Thank goodness someone finally manufactured and electric press.This cookie press is awesome for making German Spritz cookies. The dough presses through smoothly. The end result was cookies everyone was raving about.

The first time I used it, it was very awkward. I had to get used to handling it comfortably. It also leaked just a tad. With thick dough it doesn't do that. But when I make a cheese mixture or anything that might get liquified fast, it will leak. Not as much as you'd expect, though. It's not terribly messy and can be wiped up right away. Most people will use this for cookie dough, and that was fine for me.You do have to be careful not to overfill it, but once you get used to holding it, it's such a timesaver! I'm not sure I think it's a necessary item. I got great results with a manual press as well. But this does seem so much faster!
